Welcome

Welcome to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the College of Engineering (CoE).

College can be a very exciting time for students.  It can provide many opportunities for students to pursue their academic and personal goals.  However, it may also involve various stressors for many college students.

CAPS in CoE has two full-time clinicians conveniently available for all currently enrolled students within the College of Engineering. The CAPS counselor will be available to provide supportive mental health services for students via tele-counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The CAPS counselor will strive to assist students in understanding, and solving their problems.

Typical reasons for seeking counseling may include:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • academic/performance concerns
  • adjustment difficulties
  • self-esteem
  • family issues
  • relationship concerns

If your concerns cannot be adequately addressed in our brief therapy model, your CAPS counselor will assist you in finding an appropriate referral source.  All services are free and confidential.

Please see our FAQ for more information about our services and scheduling an appointment.
